What is this new integration?
As MTM continues to roll out their MTM Link platform for their non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) operations nationwide, they are integrating with MediRoutes as a routing, scheduling, and dispatching (RSD) partner. The integration, achieved through a next generation API-based approach, allows our transportation provider partners who currently utilize MediRoutes to take advantage of the benefits of our MTM Link platform, while continuing to use MediRoutes as a scheduling solution.
Why is this happening - is it required?
All transportation providers who want to perform MTM trips are being required by MTM to adhere to the new digitization standards.
Please note: MediRoutes does not require any transportation provider to share their data. MediRoutes software enables our customers to meet the new digital standards contractually required by MTM.
What data is shared from MediRoutes through the MTM API?
- Geolocation of all MTM credentialed vehicles when drivers are logged into a credentialed vehicle on the MediRoutes driver app.
- Real Time Trip Data of an MTM Trip (Scheduled, En Route, Arrive and Perform Times, Customer No-Shows, Signatures, Trip Costs)
What will change in MediRoutes?
The main difference you will encounter with the new API is that you will no longer need to import trip data from MTM. This data will be automatically imported into your MediRoutes system in real time. Apart from this change in how you received trips, most everything else that will occur with the API will go wholly unnoticed. For the billing process for MTM Link, all trip information will be gathered by MTM, once the trip is Performed Completely on the MediRoutes Mobile App. Then you will follow MTM web portal process on Billing. Check with MTM regarding the web portal. As a back up with this integration, you would still be able to export data from MediRoutes (via Trip Sheets reports, and special Datagrid export format) and upload it to the MTM Online Access system.
