"Microsoft Defender SmartScreen prevented an unrecognized app from starting" message when trying to install the MediRoutes desktop application

If you encounter the above error message when installing the MediRoutes desktop application it is likely due to MediRoutes needing to update its digital certificate. Please follow the instructions below to successfully install or update the Desktop application.

Once you start the install or update process, you might get the below error message:

<click> the link: "More Info"

.run anyway

<click> the "Run Anyways" button.  This will finish the install/update of the MediRoutes desktop application. 

Your Desktop Shortcut, icon will be Removed from the Windows Desktop area. 

Under "More applications", or the Windows start menu, search for MediRoutes to find the Icon or folder.
