A comprehensive, step-by-step guide on adding comments to a Passenger Record and or Trip, along with information on where these comments will be displayed in both the MediRoutes Desktop and Mobile Applications.
Private comments in Passenger Record:
Private comments are exclusively visible on the home screen and serve as a means for staff with access to MediRoutes Desktop to communicate messages pertaining to individual passengers. It is important to note that these comments are not accessible to drivers or displayed on the dispatch screen.
Comments in Passenger Record:
These comments can be viewed on the home screen and within the trip details on the Driver Mobile Application. However, they are not displayed on the dispatch or Schedule tabs.
The comments can be found at the lower section of the Trip Details within the Driver Mobile Application.
Selecting the Alert Button next to the Comment Box will generate a red square on the home tab beside any created trip, alerting Desktop users to review the comments or specific needs associated with those passengers.
Note: Once a comment has been added to a Client Record, when you Manually add a trip for the client, it will automatically populate into the Pickup Comments. Please note this is only for manually created trips, not for trips created with a file import or API insert.
Pickup Comments on Trip File (Home Tab):
You have the option to include pickup comments when creating a new trip. To add pickup comments to an existing trip, simply click on the 'Edit' button in the trip data grid.
1. Select the Pickup tab
2. Add the pickup comments for the trip in the comment box.
3. Click on the Save button to save changes.
Once saved, the pickup comments will be visible on:

The Schedule Tab:
As well as the Dispatch Tab (if it is a same day trip):
The pickup comments will also be accessible to the driver within the trip details section of the Driver Mobile Application.
Note: You can also add Pickup comments directly from the Trip Data Grid on the Home tab. To do this, simply double-click on the field labeled "Pickup comment" and input your comments there.
Dropoff Comments on Trip File (Home Tab):
You have the ability to include drop-off comments when setting up a new trip. To add drop-off comments to an existing trip, simply click the 'Edit' button within the trip data grid.
1. Select the Dropoff tab
2. Add the drop-off comments for the trip in the comment box.
3. Click on the Save button to save changes.
Once saved, the drop-off comments will be visible on:

When all three comment fields—Client Record Comments, Pickup Comments, and Dropoff Comments—are completed, each comment will be displayed in the Driver Mobile Application, ensuring that the driver has access to all relevant information regarding the trip.

Tip: If you would like to have these messages appear as a popup for the driver, you can go to the Data Tab, Other Tab, then Settings Tab. The Setting is called MobileDisableCommentPopup, and the value needs to be False.
When a driver clicks on a trip to perform the trip, they will receive a pop-up message with any comments on the passenger/ trip record.
Adding Pickup and Drop-off comments on the Schedules Tab:
You can also add pick up and drop off comments to a trip in the schedules tab (if the trip is not assigned to a RUN already). Locate the trip and simply click the 'Edit' button within the trip data grid.
Once you have clicked the edit button, you will get a popup screen. Within this screen you can add pickup and drop off comments specific to this trip. Simply add the comments and click the OK button to save.
