Assigning a Role to Users Without a Role

MediRoutes has automatically updated users to one of the new default roles based of their desktop permissions and excluded links. A portion of users will need to have their roles set manually.

Any user without a role will not be able to access either the desktop, web, or mobile systems.  If you have any users without a role, you will see a red banner at the top of the Web Application, or on the Users and Roles page within Desktop:

If you click on 'Click here' a user without a role will be filtered in the list below.  If there is any required information missing from their account, it will be indicated in red text.

For the example above, you would need to enter in the email address for the user as well as selecting one of the defined roles.  For more information on what access each role will authorize, review the knowledgebase article on users and roles https://support.mediroutes.com/knowledge/mediroutes-roles-and-permissions 

 

Once the user has been saved, you will be returned to the previous screen and the users record will be updated with the defined role.  If you have any additional  users without roles, the red banner at the top will display again.  You can click on "Click here" and it will direct you to the next user that is missing a role.  Repeat the same steps as above until you have no users that are missing a role. 

Unverified Users:

If you have any user accounts that have not been verified, the banner will show how many accounts are not verified and will provide a way to filter the unverified accounts.  Click on "Check it out" and this will update your user list to show unverified users:

To send a new verification email, click on the 'Pending Verification' icon.  This will open up the users account and ask you to resend the email if they already have an email defined.  If the user does not have an email defined, you can add an email as well as any other required information, and then save the user.  Once the user is saved with an email address, you can send the verification link again.
