Internal - User Account Options on Client Employees Page
A guide to the different options on user accounts within a client database when looking at the Employee list from the Clients page.
When viewing user accounts within a client's database or viewing your own user account, you can utilize various options available in the Employee List on the Clients Page. These options enable you to make edits and perform specific actions related to user accounts. This article will guide you through navigating to these options and provide an overview of what each one involves.
Step 1: Navigate to the Employee List
1. Login at https://app.mediroutes.com/#/login and click on the three little people in the menu to get to the Clients Page.
2. Search the company name and click the company name in the results to open up the company info.
3. Click Client Options, then click Employees.
Step 2: Viewing and Searching User Accounts
1. On the Employees page for a client, you can view basic information about every user account, including the status, first and last names, usernames, and the roles assigned to each account.
2. At the top of the page, you have the options to remove the Active Clients filter to include inactive user accounts, use the filter funnel to filter by roles or active/inactive status, or search for a user by username. The search bar says, "Search By Email," but it is actually searching by the username of the user. This search bar comes in handy if you need to look at one user account within a larger company and don't wish to scroll through a massive list.
Step 3: Access Editing Options
1. Click the pencil button all the way to the right of a user account under the column header Edit.
2. Here you will see a few different options on the account:
- Active checkbox: Allows you to make an account Active or Inactive, though we will never make users inactive in client systems. This checkbox will mainly be used to make yourself Active again should a client ever make your user account inactive from their end.
- Has White Label Access checkbox: Grants the user access to edit the White Labelling options for their company's notifications, if their company uses White Labelling when they send out Where's My Ride links.
- Valid Email: Can be used as a quick check for viewing or to change the email address. If a user is not receiving a password reset email, you can change the email here to your email to attempt sending it to yourself before forwarding it to the user.
- Reset Password: A quick way to send a password reset link to yourself if needed or a user. Sometimes users will not receive it through the Forgot Password link at login but will receive it when we send it using this button.
- API Mapping: Used to grant API access to users who will be utilizing the MediRoutes API. For more information on how to grant access, click here.
If you do make any changes, just make sure to click the Confirm button to save the changes.
